John Brumfield -Attorney and Lawyer

If you need an order in your divorce or custody case quickly, you should make sure that you have your attorney prepare and file a Motion for Temporary Orders with the court.  This can be done any time after the petition for divorce (or petition for custody) has been filed.  You probably already know that I mostly practice in the Third District Court and Fourth District Court in Utah.  That is in Salt Lake County or Utah County.  Although I have practiced in Heber City, Brigham City, Ogden and other locations, it is important to know which judge or which court commissioner you will be in front of. A Motion for Temporary Order cannot be filed if no petition for divorce or petition to establish parentage has also been filed.
